Guest Policies

We’re delighted to welcome you to Lady on the Lake, our family friendly waterfront lodging on Lake Champlain in Upstate New York. To ensure a safe, enjoyable, and respectful vacation experience for all guests, please review the following policies:

General Property Rules

• Quiet Hours: 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM. Please respect your neighbors and keep noise to a minimum.
  
  
• No Smoking: Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property except in the designated firepit area by the dock. Please dispose of cigarette butts responsibly.
  
  
• No Hanging Items Outdoors: Towels, swimsuits, and other personal items may not be hung outside cottages, on railings, or on trees. Drying racks are provided inside each cottage.
  
  
• Fire Safety: Fires are only permitted in designated firepits. Never leave fires unattended, and ensure they are fully extinguished before leaving.
  
  

Cottage 4 – Pet Policy

• Cottage 4 welcomes dogs under 50 lbs of non-aggressive breeds.
  
  
• Pet Fee: A $100 flat fee applies per stay.
  
  
• Supervision: Pets must be leashed when outside the cottage and may not be left unattended inside unless crated.
  
  
• Cleanliness: Owners must clean up after their pets immediately.
  
  
• Restrictions: Pets are not permitted on furniture or bedding. Additional cleaning fees may apply if damage or excessive pet hair is found.
  
  

Use of Amenities

• Dock & Waterfront: Guests may use the private dock for swimming, fishing, paddleboarding, and kayaking. All water activities are at the guest’s own risk.
  
  
• Kayaks & Paddleboards: Life jackets must be worn at all times. Please return equipment to the dock storage area and secure kayaks and paddleboards with provided straps on the dock after use.
  
  
• Swimming: Use caution and supervise children at all times. There is no lifeguard on duty.
  
  
• Firepits: Three firepits are available for guest use. Please share respectfully if others are waiting.
  
  
• Outdoor Pavilion & Grills: Available for cooking and dining. Clean grills and utensils in the tub provided after use and dispose of trash.

Safety & Security

• Children: Must be supervised at all times, especially near the water and firepits.
  
  
• Occupancy Limits: Each cottage has a maximum occupancy limit of 3 per cottage. Exceeding this may result in additional fees.
  
  
• Parking: Park only in designated areas. One vehicle per cottage unless otherwise approved.
  
  

Check-In & Check-Out

• Check-In: After 3:00 PM.
  
  
• Check-Out: By 11:00 AM.
  
  
• Late Check-Outs: Subject to availability and may incur additional fees.
  
  

Damages & Fees

• Guests are responsible for any damage beyond normal wear and tear. Replacement or repair costs may be charged to the booking party.
  
  
• Excessive cleaning beyond standard turnover may result in an additional fee.
