    Lady on the Lake Cottages, owned by Johnny and Christine, exceeded every expectation. The cottages are brand new, with modern, thoughtfully designed interiors - not a detail missed. Everything feels luxurious, comfortable, and perfectly curated. The landscaping is immaculate, and the property is ideally situated right on the lake, with private dock access that makes enjoying the water effortless. Just a short walk brings you to the village restaurants and shops - the location couldn't be better.

    What an amazing stay in Essex! The unit and surrounding gardens were so lovely. We enjoyed the very short walk to the town's few shops and restaurants as well as watching the ferry come in. The dock is right outside and offers easy swimming access! Messages were very promptly returned, and they arranged for us to use the onsite laundry, which was a huge help. The interior decorations were so beautiful! We can't recommend this spot highly enough!

    This was one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed. Sitting on the porch swing and watching the ferries come in and out was so relaxing, after a long day of bike riding on the Empire Trail. The inside was lovely too - spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, with everything we needed - comfortable bed, great shower, plenty of coffee, and nice sitting area. It was just perfect!! Couldn't recommend it any more highly.

    Lady on the Lake is without a doubt a hidden gem from host/hostess, impeccable accommodations, grounds and amenities; one could not find a more desirable location to spend a long weekend or longer escape from the hustle bustle of life. John and Christine have taken one's every need into consideration in their modern, well-appointed units. Our family enjoyed the beautiful landscaping, outdoor grill area, a variety of seating areas. fire pit and especially availability of kayaks and paddleboards. Being directly on the lake and access to local stores, library, and playground greatly enhanced our stay. We highly recommend and look forward to our next visit to Essex, NY.

    If you need a quiet, peaceful and serene getaway on beautiful grounds with a well-designed, modern and comfortable suite-style cottage complete with its own outdoor area, kitchenette and grill look no further. It even has a dock for stargazing and waking up to breathtaking lakefront views, kayaking and paddle boarding. The owners' pride, care, and thoughtfulness shine through in every detail. The room was immaculate, and the owners were delightful. They checked in on us to ensure we were enjoying our stay, lit the fire pits and offered suggestions for where to go in the area. This is a truly special place and perfect for a retreat either alone of with a group of friends/family reserving the other cottages. This is a completely unique experience that we would do again.

    We had an amazing stay at the Lady On The Lake! The cottage was fantastic, cozy, and had an incredible view right on Lake Champlain. The location was perfect, the ferry was around the corner and made it very convenient to travel back and forth between New York and Vermont. We had such a wonderful time and truly enjoyed our stay!
